Shri Swami Samarth, one day, went to a temple which was 6 miles away from Akkalkot where Swamiji used to reside. He went to the temple and sat there for long time. There were many devotees who had followed him to the temple and the devotees were all seated around Him. Swamiji, all of a sudden told one of his devotees to go back to Akkalkot because one of his devotee is coming to Akkalkot from a long distance. He asked this devotee to go back and take care of the devotee who was coming from a distance.
Food for People
After sometime, Swamiji also went back to Akkalkot. The devotee who had come to meet Swamiji was a tailor from Solapur. When Swamiji reached Akkalkot, the tailor bowed in fromt of Him. The tailor after getting the blessings told Swamiji that he wished to feed fifty people at Swamiji’s residence for which Swamiji agreed. The tailor then made preparation to make food for fifty people and started serving the food with the permission of Swamiji. As he was serving the food more number of people started coming in meet Swamiji. The tailor was worried that he had made food for only 50 people and gave a worried look to Swamiji.
Swamiji, being the great soul he was, read the mind of the tailor and told him to keep on serving the food. As ordered by Swamijithe tailor kept serving the food to the people gathered. After sometime the tailor realised that even though he had made food for only 50 people, he had already served food for more than 500 people. The tailor understood that it was a miracle performed by Swamiji to save him from embarrassment. Later on the tailor and family sat in front of Swamiji and had their food.
Possessed
The tailor and family were happy and as soon he sat in front of Swamiji, the tailor started behaving in a crazy manner. He started abusing and also started throwing stones at people gathered there. The people were shocked to see the behaviour of the tailor and soon realised that the tailor was possessed. Swamiji looked at the tailor and told others to tie the hands and legs of the tailor to the tree. Swamiji wanted to teach the spirit a lesson. The spirit was afraid hearing the words of Swamiji and asked for pardon. The spirit begged to Swamiji that he does not have family or friends and not to harm him. Swamiji forgave the spirit on the condition that it will leave the body of the tailor. The spirit left the body of the tailor and the tailor was back to normal. He thanked and sought the blessings of Swamiji and left with his family.
